Rewire Neuroscience is dedicated to empowering the future of neuroscience. Our goal is to help early stage scientists get ahead in a competitive research landscape. We develop products that are well built, affordable, and designed by neuroscientists who use the product. Rewire Neuroscience spun out of Washington State University in 2016 based on rodent behavioral analysis technology developed by neuroscientists Dr. John Harkness and Ryan Todd. This technology is incorporated into a laboratory apparatus that is being developed for commercialization by Rewire Neuroscience.
John Harkness received his PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience at Oregon Health & Science University. He has worked in mouse, rat, and primate behavior laboratories for 11 years, has published 10 peer-reviewed articles, one textbook chapter, and delivered over two dozen conference presentations on behavioral neuroscience. Additionally, he is an experienced software and web developer.
Ryan Todd has a Master’s degree in Whole-Systems Design from Antioch University. He has managed rodent behavior laboratories for 7 years, is experienced in electrical engineering and product development. Before moving to the Portland area, Ryan worked as the COO of a sustainable management consulting startup in Seattle, WA.
We’re growing fast! Rewire was awarded a Commercialization Gap Fund from Washington State University to help develop and validate our Sleep Fragmentation Platform. We are developing new products in our laboratory apparatus division, as well as working hard on multiple web platforms and network backend.
